Welcome to Speeku

Speeku teaches a language the way it is spoken in a real place, in short lessons you can do anywhere.

The courses

There are two courses today, and each one is its own app:

• Speeku European Portuguese teaches the Portuguese of Portugal: the words, grammar and pronunciation you will hear in Lisbon and Porto, like o comboio, o pequeno-almoço and estou a falar. It is a great fit whether you are starting from zero or already know some Brazilian Portuguese.
• Speeku Swiss German teaches Schwizerdütsch as it is spoken in Zurich, the language you hear on the tram and at the bakery counter, with de, d and s in front of every noun.

What is inside a course

Each course is around a thousand short lessons, from your first greeting to a real conversation. Along the way you get:

• exercises of more than fifty kinds: pick the picture, build the sentence, fill the gap, play the scene and many more
• every word and sentence spoken by real recorded voices, so your ear learns the real sounds from day one
• speaking exercises that listen to you
• a Glossary of the course's words, with examples and full verb tables
• flashcards built from the words you have learned

Learn anywhere

Everything runs on your phone. There is no account to create and no internet needed, so a lesson is always there: on a plane, on the metro or on a beach with no signal.
